Northumberland OPP – Investigating Sexual Assault

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a sexual assault investigation in the Township of Hamilton.

A sexual assault is reported to have taken place in the area of Johnston Road South and Beavermeadow Road from August 11 to August 12, 2024.

The Northumberland Crime Unit is continuing the investigation and is requesting that if anyone was in the area during this timeframe and saw anything suspicious or has any information regarding this occurrence or any information that may assist investigators, to please call Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The OPP is reminding the public to always use caution and be aware of their surroundings and personal safety. You can report a sexual offence to police no matter how long ag o it happened and someone can be charged for sexual assault.
