A seagull that appeared injured was taken by Municipal by-law officers on Victoria Beach on Saturday, August 24, 2024 to be assessed.

On Saturday afternoon by-law officers were informed of a seagull on a lifeguard stand that appeared to be injured.

Wearing gloves by-law officers placed the seagull in a cage to be assessed.

After assessing the bird, it was later released.

One family approached Today’s Northumberland and said they appreciated the time the by-law officers took to care for the bird.
