Video – Start of the Summer with Hundreds of Flower Baskets Adorning the Downtown in Cobourg

In Community, Local

While most people were sleeping overnight, Parks Department staff were busy hanging flower baskets throughout the downtown.

Councillor Adam Bureau said it’s the start of the kick-off to the summer season with over 300 flower baskets hung along King Street and in the downtown area by 13 Parks Department staff starting at approximately midnight and working until 6 a.m.

The baskets range from 20-24 inches and there are six different varieties of flowers.

“It adds so much beautification to our downtown, I absolutely love them.”
