Video – East Pier in Cobourg Blocked Off to Traffic

In Local

Parks Department staff in Cobourg installed three concrete blocks along the east pier on Friday, June 14, 2024 hopefully deterring vehicles from driving onto the pier.

The pier has not been accessible for a number of years to vehicle traffic because of its condition.

Pedestrian traffic has always been allowed.

A driver who was out on the pier while the blocks were being installed left just in time before the last block was put in place.

In case of emergency, the blocks are separated enough for police and paramedics.
