Child Pornography Arrest

A 45-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a six-month investigation.

On May 8, 2024, officers from the Peterborough Police Service ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a Peterborough residence.

As a result of a cooperative investigation effort between the United States Department of Homeland Security and Peterborough Police Service, a 45-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Imports, Distributes, Sells or Possession for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography
  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Agreement to Commit a Sexual Offence against a Person under 16 yrs of age

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, May 8, 2024.

The Peterborough Police is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the internet.
