Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Theft, Fraud, Unauthorized Use of Credit Card (No Name Released)

A 42-year-old Cobourg woman is facing several charges following a theft investigation.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, police responded to a theft call in the downtown area of the Town of Cobourg.

The victim’s wallet, containing identification and banking cards, had been stolen. One of the cards was subsequently used for a purchase at another business.

Following an investigation into the occurrence, a suspect was identified. On April 20, 2024, a 42-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, fraud under $5,000, and unauthorized use of credit card and credit card data.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
