Video – Collision Involving Motorcycle and Jeep in Port Hope

One person has been airlifted after a collision involving a motorcycle and Jeep.

Emergency services were dispatched at approximately 5:25 p.m. to the area of Ward Street and Talbot Street in Port Hope on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

One witness told Today’s Northumberland that both vehicles were heading eastbound at the time when the Jeep made a left hand turn onto Talbot Drive.

The motorcycle went under the Jeep and was dragged for approximately two metres. The driver went over the hood of the Jeep.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg and was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

The driver of the Jeep was shaken, but uninjured.

The intersection was closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators examined the scene.
