Engage Cobourg Launches Municipal Website Development Survey

In Local

Online survey open until May 3
The Town of Cobourg Communications Department is pleased to announce the launch of a new project on Engage Cobourg to gather feedback from the public on the municipal website.
The corporate website, Cobourg.ca, serves as the primary source of official information for Cobourg residents. The website provides up-to-date information to facilitate communication between the public, Councillors and staff.

The Town of Cobourg’s Communications Department has been informed the corporate website’s content management system (i:Create) will be coming to its end of life over the next few years. The Town of Cobourg will be transitioning to a new platform, Govstack, in hope to re-launch the corporate website, Cobourg.ca later this year. Govstack is a modern content management system providing more powerful options for layout and design.

Website and Service Excellence Priorities
Service Excellence is one of three strategic priority areas in the Town of Cobourg Strategic Plan 2023 – 2027 and Beyond, with strategic actions including:

• Assess points of contact with customers to identify ways to streamline communications, increase stakeholder engagement, demonstrate user friendliness and provide optimal service.

• Embrace new technologies that will improve customer service and increase efficiency and accessibility.

The new website will include elements that advance Service Excellence, such as an intuitive navigation menu, a user-friendly design, as well as accessibility and responsiveness across devices.

Share Your Thoughts
The Communications Department is seeking your feedback on the corporate Cobourg.ca website, which will help during this initial research phase to inform decisions.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey on the EngageCobourg.ca project page, available until May 3, 2024. Everyone is encouraged to participate. The responses will help staff to better understand the priorities of our community when looking for pertinent information on municipal services.

Note: Currently, the Engage Cobourg website (EngageCobourg.ca) and Experience Cobourg website (ExperienceCobourg.ca) operate on different platforms than the Cobourg.ca website. When filling out the survey, please consider your use of Cobourg.ca.
