Break and Enter Arrest

A 43-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Monday.

On April 1, 2024, officers were notified about a break and enter to a residence in the Parkhill Road East and Leahys Lane area.  The homeowner had returned home to find a basement window open and items including a computer and cash were missing.  Security cameras showed a suspect inside the home.  Through investigation the suspect was identified and taken into custody.

As a result, a 43-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court April 23, 2024.

 

Break and Enter Suspect Sought

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after two reported break and enters and theft of tools from the carpentry shop at Trent University.

On April 2, 2024, employees reporting for work realized that tools were missing.  A check of security footage revealed a person entering the building and leaving with tools.  Staff then went over security footage and noticed a second incident at approximately 11:20pm on March 27, 2024. In that incident a person could be seen entering the building and leaving with tools.  It’s estimated that the value of the items taken during the two incidents is over $5000.
