Perfect Evening for Filming “Greetings from Fairview” in Port Hope

In Local

It could be said, there couldn’t have been a better night for the filming of Greetings from Fairview in downtown Port Hope on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

With streets blocked off, Hollywood came to Port Hope on Saturday evening and the downtown area of Port Hope was turned into Derry, Maine, home of Pennywise and the IT films.

With a advisory alert of near zero visibility because of a fog alert and calm winds proved perfect for the setting in the downtown and along the Ganaraska River.

In fact, it wasn’t foggy enough and equipment was used to give downtown the perfect ambiance for the Reaper’s Image Productions.

State-of-the-art filming was also on-site with a drone camera along with a camera vehicle.

It certainly appears the series is set in the 1950’s given the vehicles used on Saturday night with filming taking place on Mill Street South at Walton Street and along the Ganaraska River.
Numerous roads were closed for the shooting of the production.
