Peterborough Police – Sexual Exploitation Arrest (No Name Released)

A Peterborough woman is facing a further charge in connection with inappropriate relationships with minors.

After receiving information earlier this month (February), the Peterborough Police Service Investigation Services branch began an investigation which led to the arrest of a Peterborough woman on February 21, 2024.

As a result of the initial investigation, she is being charged with:

  • Sexual exploitation
  • Making sexually explicit material available to a person under 18 years of age
  • Accessing child pornography

The investigation remained ongoing, and the woman was arrested today (Thursday, February 29, 2024) and further charged with:

  • Making sexually explicit material available to a person under 18 years of age

This charge is connected to a second minor.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court tomorrow, Friday, March 1, 2024.

Please be aware there is a publication ban in place surrounding this matter protecting the identity of any victims, witnesses and/or complainants.

The Peterborough Police Service is not looking for any other suspects.

We appreciate that there is public interest in this case.  The Peterborough Police Service is committed to ensuring the privacy of the victims and asks for your ongoing patience as the investigation continues and the case moves through the judicial process.   As this case is before the courts, there will not be any further comment.
