Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Fraud (No Name Released)

A 31-year-old Cobourg man faces theft and fraud charges after police received a report of a stolen credit card.

On January 12, 2024, police commenced a theft investigation after a credit card was reported stolen from a vehicle and used to make an unauthorized purchase.

CCTV camera footage was used to identify a suspect.

As a result of the investigation, on February 1, 2024, a 31-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized use of a credit card and fraud under $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
