The Ontario Youth Parliament Gears Up for its 2024 Session in Cobourg, Inviting Youth Across the Province to Engage in Democratic Discourse”

The Ontario Youth Parliament (OYP) is a passionate, non-partisan organization that is excited to announce its upcoming session for February 2024. Dedicated to empowering the youth of Ontario, OYP aims to encourage active participation in the democratic process while fostering a sense of community and friendship among young people.

OYP’s 2024 session is scheduled to take place in Cobourg during the Family Day weekend at Trinity United Church.

OYP brings together 14 to 21-year-olds from across the province under one roof to help nurture a profound understanding of the democratic system.

It will also provide an opportunity to tackle real-world issues, encourage public speaking and form long-lasting connections with like-minded peers.

In light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, OYP had to unfortunately cancel its 2021 and 2022 sessions.

However, after three long years, the organization was thrilled to announce its return in 2023.

While the 2023 session featured reduced delegate numbers due to pandemic-related restrictions, OYP is eager to rekindle the spirit of youth engagement and expand its reach further for the 2024 session.

Youth interested in participating in the OYP 2024 session are encouraged to visit the official website at https://www.oyp.on.ca/ and Instagram page (@ontarioyouthparliament) for more information and registration details.

OYP also welcomes inquiries from potential sponsors, partners, and volunteers who share the same commitment to empowering the youth of Ontario.
