Northumberland OPP – Campbellford Man Charged with Fraud (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual in relation to cheque fraud in Campbellford.

On December 9, 2023, OPP received a complaint regarding stolen cheques that had been deposited at a local bank.

As a result of the investigation, Northumberland OPP made an arrest on December 27, 2023.

Chelsea VIOLO, 31-years-old, from Campbellford has been charged with:

  • Fraud under $5,000 – two counts.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
