(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) -On July 25, 2018 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter that had occurred sometime overnight at a local area business in Port Hope, Ontario. Approxima tely $10,000 worth of property was reported stolen along with three firearms.
Northumberland OPP members, with the assistance of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted an investigation into the allegations. A search warrant was executed at a Cramahe Township residence by the Northumberland CSCU. As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged Kenneth Sanders age 56, Michael Bellamy age 21 and Tyler Anderson-Macdonald age 20 all of Port Hope, Ontairo with the following offences;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Break and Enter a place and steal a firearm
- Break and Enter a place – commit an indictable offence
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Thomas Collins age 57 of Cramahe Township was arrested and charged with;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Break and Enter a place and steal firearm
- Break and Enter a place – commit an indictable offence
Michelle Collins age 56 of Cramahe Township was arrested and charged with;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
All the accused have been released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on August 29, 2018.
