Two councillors have been re-elected in Hamilton Township and a former one is returning.
Residents were only voting for the three councillor seats as Mayor Scott Jibb and Deputy Mayor Larry Williamson were both acclaimed with no opposition when the nomination period closed in August.

Both councillor incumbents seeking re-election were successful as John Davison topped the polls with 1,633 votes and Bruce Buttar received 1,457.

At least one seat was available heading into the election with Mark Lovshin not seeking re-election.
Former councillor Pat McCourt claimed that spot, earning 1,375 votes when the polls closed Monday night.

The other two candidates were Jay Chatten (1,234) and Robert MacArthur (789). There were 17 spoiled ballots.
