Members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with assistance from the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), have recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen property following an ongoing theft investigation.
Over the past several months, the Quinte West OPP has investigated several theft occurrences throughout Trenton and the surrounding area. Through the course of the investigations, officers were able to link multi ple theft incidents and identify a common suspect.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, members of the East Region CSCU, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Quinte West OPP Detachment assisted with the execution of a warrant in Consecon, Prince Edward County.
During the search, officers recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen property, including a side-by-side utility vehicle, an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), and a quantity of tools. Officers also seized ammunition located on the property.
As a result of the investigation, Reian WALLACE, 28 years of age, of Consecon, has been charged with:
Possession of stolen property over $5000 – two counts
Possession of stolen property under $5000
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Fail to comply with probation order
Theft of electricity or gas
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
