Quinte West OPP – Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Trenton

Members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with EMS and Fire, responded to a fatal two-vehicle collision.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at approximately 6:10 p.m., OPP responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a dump truck on Old Highway 2 in Trenton, Quinte West.

As a result of the collision, the rider, a 25-year-old resident of Belleville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Old Highway 2, between South Perimeter Road and RCAF Road, was closed for several hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) team assisted with the investigation. The road has since reopened.
