Belleville Police – Theft Arrest (Name Released)

On May 27, 2026, Belleville Police investigated a report of a theft from a business on Bell Boulevard. The store manager reported that two individuals attended the location and departed without paying for merchandise.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and identified the suspects; however, they were unable to locate them at that time. Arrest warrants were subsequently obtained for both individuals.

On July 6, 2026, it was reported that one of the individuals had returned to the business.
As a result, Meagan Ferguson, 32-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant for theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order X2. She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in August 2026.
