Durham Regional Police – Female Arrested for Sexual Assault at Group Home in Oshawa

A female staff member is facing charges following an investigation into sexual assaults that occurred at a group home in Oshawa.

In February 2026, investigators with the DRPS Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a female staff member who reportedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old male several times at a group home in Oshawa.

Further investigation revealed that between September 2025 and January 2026 the suspect engaged the victim in a sexual relationship.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, investigators concluded their investigation and took the suspect into custody without incident.

Police have concerns there may be further victims. A photo of the accused is attached and can be viewed at www.drps.ca

Shari Shoshana MCGREGOR, age 30 from Clarington is charged with: Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, and Invitation to Sexual Touching.

She was released on an Undertaking.
