Cobourg Police – Two Vehicles Stolen Over the Weekend

The Cobourg Police Service is investigating two vehicle thefts reported over the weekend. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Police received a report of a stolen vehicle that is believed to have been taken between approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 12, 2026, and 5:00 a.m. on June 13, 2026, from a residence on Munson Crescent in Cobourg.

The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2025 Chevrolet Silverado, four-door crew cab pickup truck.

Police also received a second report of a stolen vehicle that occurred overnight on June 13, 2026. The complainant advised that their vehicle was taken from a residence on Foote Crescent in Cobourg. The last known GPS location placed the vehicle in Port Hope.

The stolen vehicle is described as a silver 2026 Lexus NX.

The investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information or who may have dashcam or security footage of the areas is asked to contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821 or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.

Police are reminding residents to take steps to reduce the risk of vehicle theft:

  • Never leave keys or key fobs inside your vehicle
  • Always lock your doors and close windows, even when parked at home
  • Park in well-lit areas where possible
  • Consider using security cameras and light sensors
  • Store spare keys securely and never leave them hidden inside or near your vehicle
  • Use a signal-blocking pouch or box to protect key fobs from relay theft
