Cobourg Police – Brampton Man Facing Drug Charges (Name Released)

One individual was arrested following the conclusion of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation in the Town of Cobourg.

On June 10, 2026, as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking occurring in Cobourg and surrounding areas, members of the Cobourg Police Service Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau, with the assistance of Uniform Patrol, the Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team, and Belleville Police Service Canine Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Cobourg.

As a result of the investigation, police seized the following:

Approximately 68 grams of fentanyl
Approximately 135grams of cocaine
Oxycodone pills
Multiple Cellphones
The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $40, 000.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Shiloh CHEREBIN of Brampton was arrested and charged with the following:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – fentanyl
Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
