Port Hope Police – Port Hope Man Charged with Impaired Driving (No Name Released)

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 10:08 p.m., an officer with the Port Hope Police Service observed a vehicle operating without headlights and displaying driving behaviour consistent with possible impairment.

Police initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The officer observed signs consistent with alcohol consumption. As a result of an investigation, a 32-year-old male from Port Hope was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

The Port Hope Police Service reminds motorists that impaired driving puts everyone at risk. If you suspect an impaired driver, call 911.
