Northumberland OPP – Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Municipality of Brighton

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a single-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Brighton.

On May 19, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and police responded to a motorcycle collision on Boundary Road, near Hillview Road.

The 38-year-old male motorcyclist from Brighton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) members are attending the scene to assist with the investigation.

Boundary Road is closed in the area between County Road 2 and Little Lake Road. This investigation is on-going and updates will be provided when available.

Northumberland OPP are asking for anyone who may have witnessed, has video/dash cam footage or information relating to the collision and has not yet spoken with police, to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
