A 32-year-old Belleville man has been charged in connection with an alleged construction fraud impacting two local businesses in the Town of Cobourg.

On February 2, 2026, the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau began an investigation after receiving a report of alleged construction fraud involving two businesses in the east end of Cobourg between October 2025 and January 2026.
