Northumberland County Hosting Public Information Session on Planned Road Improvements in Grafton

Northumberland County is inviting residents and businesses to attend a public information session to learn about planned road safety and infrastructure improvements along County Road 2 in Grafton.

The upcoming project will include enhancements designed to improve pedestrian safety, traffic operations, and roadway conditions in the community. Planned work includes new and relocated pedestrian crossing features, roadway rehabilitation, and related infrastructure upgrades in the area surrounding County Road 2 and County Road 23.

Residents are encouraged to attend the session to review project details, speak with County staff, and ask questions about the planned construction and anticipated timelines.

· Date: Thursday, May 21, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: St. George’s Anglican Church

Construction is anticipated to take place between July and September 2026, with temporary lane restrictions in place during the work. Access for residents, businesses, and emergency services will be maintained throughout construction.

County staff will also be connecting directly with businesses in the project area in advance of construction to discuss impacts.
