On Friday April 17, 2026, at approximately 7:30pm, officers from the Peterborough County OPP received a call related to a cyclist that had been run off the road on County Road 32 near County Road 33 in Douro Dummer Township. The caller was EMS who advised the male cyclist had lots of ‘road rash’, lacerations, and was bleeding from the mouth.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment but was later transported to a trauma centre in Toronto due to the extent of their injuries.
