Cobourg Police – Incidents Include Voyeurism, Assault (No Names Released)

A 53-year-old Cobourg man has been charged following a voyeurism investigation involving pinhole cameras hidden in a residence washroom.

On April 2, 2026, the Cobourg Police Service initiated an investigation after receiving a report of voyeurism that occurred between October 2025 and April 2026. Police later executed a search warrant at a residence in Cobourg, where several pinhole cameras and additional evidence related to the investigation were seized.

As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with three counts of Voyeurism and one count of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been released to a surety, with conditions.

 

 

A 33-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

On April 7, 2026, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Cobourg. An investigation determined that a verbal dispute between partners escalated, resulting in an assault.

As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Assault – Spousal and Assault with a Weapon – Spousal.

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

 

 

A 32-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges following a police response to an assault.

On April 7, 2026, at approximately 9:10 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in progress in the area of Burnham Street and Elgin Street in Cobourg.

Upon arrival, officers located a person of interest and witnesses at the scene. As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault. No injuries were reported to police. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
