Video – Photo Gallery – Vehicle Wedged Between Tanker Wheels After Collision on Highway 401 Near Cobourg

Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a car and a fuel tanker on Highway 401 near Cobourg late in the afternoon on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Shortly after 5 p.m., emergency services were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway just east of Nagle Road. A passenger vehicle collided with a tanker truck carrying fuel and became wedged between two sets of the truck’s dual wheels.

Despite the impact, the tanker driver was able to safely pull the truck over onto the shoulder of the highway.

No injuries were reported. The driver of the car and the two occupants of the tanker truck were not hurt.
