Theft Arrest
A 31-year-old Peterborough woman is facing over two dozen charges in connection with thefts from businesses.
On Friday, March 6, 2026, officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit were called to a store in the King Street and Bethune Street area after a woman walked into the store, selected some items and left without paying. Officers arrived in the area and located a woman matching the description given to police. Officers were also aware the woman was wanted on warrants for theft under $5000, failing to comply with probation and failing to comply with an undertaking. They further learned the woman was wanted in connection with two incidents reported to police. One earlier that day in which bakery items were stolen and another at an LCBO.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrants and in total is facing:
- Theft Under $5000 X8
- Fail to Comply with Probation X16
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2
The accused is currently bound by two probation orders with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She is also bound by an undertaking to not attend certain stores.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Robbery Arrest
A 27-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:30am on Sunday, March 8, 2026, officers were called about a reported disturbance on Charlotte Street near George Street. Upon arrival, officers located two men in a confrontation. Through investigation they learned that the men were not known to each other, that one had taken a phone from the other which resulted in a confrontation and that the suspect had punched the victim several times. During a search after arrest, officers also seized a corkscrew/knife tool. The victim suffered minor injuries to their face.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charge with:
- Robbery With Violence
- Possession Of Weapon For Dangerous Purpose
- Fail To Comply With Probation Order x2
The accused is currently bound by two probation orders with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on March 8, 2026.
Break and Enter Arrest
A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 12:15pm on March 8, 2026, officers were called to a vacant residence after reports of someone being inside. Upon arrival to the area, officers learned that the front door had been kicked in and the suspect had left. Officers located a man matching the description given to police a short distance away and took him into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break and Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation X3
The accused is currently bound by three separate probation orders with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on March 8, 2026.
Theft Arrest
Two people from Hastings, ON are facing charges in connection with several theft incidents at a Peterborough business.
On Thursday, March 5, 2026, officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit started looking into a series of thefts that had been reported online by a Peterborough business. Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspects and confirm that they were connected to seven incidents between December 18, 2025, and February 5, 2026, in which over $1,700 in product was taken from the business.
On March 7, 2026, the pair attended the Peterborough Police Station and turned themselves in.
As a result:
A 46-year-old Hastings woman was arrested and charged with:

A 54-year-old Hastings man was arrested and charged with:
- Theft Under $5000 x8

Theft Arrest
A 38-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after three incidents Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 1:00pm on March 8, 2026, officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit responded to a call for service about a theft from a store in the High Street and Borden Avenue area. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had fled the area. They located a woman matching the description given to police entering another business and took her into custody. During a search after arrest, they located unpaid for item from two other businesses as well as a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

- Fail to Comply with Probation Order X3
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance X3
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court March 9, 2026.
