Cobourg Police – Incidents Include Uttering Threats, Fail to Comply, Assault, Mischief

A 35-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police were called to a disturbance Saturday night.

On March 7, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a disturbance involving several individuals outside an apartment complex in the area of Spencer Street East and Division Street in Cobourg.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with several witnesses who reported a verbal altercation between two adult males. The investigation determined that one male had allegedly made threats to kill another individual during the confrontation.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death and two counts of fail to comply with probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

 

A 42-year-old Cobourg man is facing intimate partner violence charges after police responded to a disturbance early Saturday morning.

On Saturday, March 7, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Town of Cobourg.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant and learned that a verbal dispute had escalated into a physical altercation and damaged personal property during the incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Assault – Spousal and Mischief – Spousal. The accused was later released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
