Peterborough Police – Water Rescue at Lock 19 in Peterborough

Peterborough Police Officers attended the area of Lock 19 in Peterborough this afternoon (February 17, 2026) at approximately 12:30pm.

Upon arrival, they located an individual who had gone into the water.

They were able to throw the person some ropes to grab onto. Peterborough Fire Services arrived and together the individual was brought to safety.

The individual was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
