Peterborough Police – Pedestrian Struck Walking On Roadway

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit are investigating after a 62-year-old Peterborough man was struck by a vehicle Thursday evening.

At approximately 5:30pm on January 8, 2026, officers were called to Sherbrooke Street between George Street and Aylmer Street. Upon arrival, officer learned that a man had been struck while walking in a live lane of traffic. Due to his injuries, the victim was flown to a Toronto hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for period of time as officers conducted a reconstruction investigation.
