In Police Blotter

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were dispatched to a report of a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) that had crashed resulting in injuries.

Just prior to 4:00pm on Wednesday December 31, 2025, officers from the Peterborough County OPP were dispatched to a report of a single MSV collision on Devils 4-Mile Road in the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township. The caller advised that two people on separate MSVs were travelling east along Devil’s 4-Mile Road when one of the riders went off the trail causing injury to themselves. The lead rider advised they had been making periodic shoulder checks but when they arrived at County Road 46, they looked back and the second rider was not visible. The rider went back along the trail, eventually finding the second rider with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers located EMS already attending to the MSV rider. The individual, a 62-year-old female from Etobicoke, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
