Emergency Cobourg Council Meeting Called

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that an Emergency Meeting of Council will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 4 p.m.

The meeting is being held to consider the following items:

• In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Council will meet in Closed Session regarding advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)).

• a motion from Mayor Cleveland asking for full support of allowing people to sleep in the warming room.

Please be advised that pursuant to section 5.7 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law an Emergency Meeting has been called for the purposes of part of the meeting being held in Closed Session. The Public will see a Closed Session screen on the livestream (available at www.Cobourg.ca/escribe) of the Emergency Meeting indicating Council is in Closed Session.
