Special Cobourg Council Meeting Called for December 15, 2025

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents a Special Meeting of Council will take place on Monday, December 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Pursuant to section 5.6 b) of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law, the Clerk received a Council petition signed by a majority of Members of Council to call a Special Meeting.

The purpose of the Special Council Meeting is to review, deliberate and amend the proposed Mayor’s 2026 Operating and Capital Budget.

The agenda will be posted on the Town website. This Special Council Meeting will be held using a hybrid meeting model.

The public may view the Council meeting live via the Town of Cobourg livestream available on www.cobourg.ca/escribe.

How to Register as a Speaker
Members of the public who wish to speak to Council may attend the meeting in-person or electronically. Speakers may speak for up to 10 minutes of uninterrupted time and only on the matter pertaining to the item.

To speak in-person, please fill out a Request to Speak form at the meeting and provide it to Clerk’s staff at the meeting. You do not need to submit in advance, If you prefer to attend electronically via Zoom, submit a completed Request to Speak Form to clerk@cobourg.ca by 12 p.m. the business day prior to the meeting (Friday, December 12) and you will be registered as a virtual speaker.

Submit Correspondence to Council
If you cannot attend a meeting, you may submit written correspondence to clerk@cobourg.ca.

Correspondence received by 12 p.m. the business day prior to the meeting will be circulated to Council prior to the meeting.
