Breaking News – Three Toronto Area Women Taken into Custody by Port Hope Police

Three women from the Toronto area were taken into custody by Port Hope Police on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

At approximately 7 p.m. an off-duty Port Hope Police officer spotted suspicious activity taking place by the women in a store on Peter Street in Port Hope.

The officer contacted Port Hope Police with a description of the women and their vehicle.

Port Hope Police patrolled the area and with information the vehicle was headed towards Cobourg, officers located the vehicle a short time later in the area of Northumberland Mall.

The vehicle was stopped in Northumberland Mall parking lot and three women from the Toronto area were taken into custody.

The investigation is continuing and Port Hope Police will have a further update on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
