Video – Catch of the Day for Port Hope Police

In Photo Gallery, Police Blotter

After numerous complaints Port Hope Police were the ones that got the catch of the day on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Around 6 p.m. two Port Hope Police officers spotted several anglers in the fish sanctuary above Jocelyn Street.

Signs around the area clearly state the area is a fish sanctuary.

While numerous people were enjoying looking at the salmon pooled at Corbett’s dam, others who had rods and nets were clearly in the fish sanctuary.
