Cobourg Mayor Clears Up “Erroneous and Unfactual” Information Concerning 202 Second Street

In Local
I wanted to clear up more erroneous and unfactual information. I have received many emails, as well as reading on certain local blog posts, that my agenda is to push the current 202 Second Street development forward.
That is absolutely incorrect. I cannot and will not support this development in its current form. I fully understand how crucial development is to Cobourg’s future; however, there has to be a balance of factors taken into account for any development project. I very much want to see development happen for 202 Second Street but I firmly believe the project, as proposed, does not work for a number of reasons.
Normally I would not discuss a development in such an early stage but because of the misinformation in regards to my support I felt compelled to make my personal views known.
