City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Investigating Suspicious Death in Kirkfield

The City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death in Kirkfield.

On Thursday, August 21, at approximately 4:11 a.m., officers were called to a residence on Richmond Street West where one person was located deceased.

Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threat. Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation.

Residents of Kirkfield can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
