Durham Regional Police – Seven Arrested and More than 300 Charges Laid in LCBO Thefts (Names Released)

Seven people have been arrested and face more than 300 charges in relation to a number of LCBO thefts.

In July 2025, the DRPS East Crime Team, and DRPS Regional Reporting Centre began a joint initiative to combat a high volume of retail thefts from local LCBO stores throughout Durham Region. The project, working closely in connection with the LCBO Resource Protection Unit, focused on larger scale theft rings where the suspects were repeat offenders.

The investigation resulted in seven arrests and more than 300 charges laid. Three additional suspects have been identified and are still outstanding.

The accused parties are responsible for approximately $50,000 in stolen merchandise.
