Durham Regional Police – Female Facing More Than 60 Charges After Stolen Vehicle Recovered (Name Released)

A female is facing more than 60 charges after she was located in a stolen vehicle in Oshawa.

On Thursday, July 24, 2025 members of Central East Community Response Unit were proactively patrolling the area of Albany Street and Front Street when they located a pick-up truck that was stolen. A female got out the vehicle and went to a store where she got clothing in an attempt to change her appearance.

Officers followed the female for a short time before she was taken into custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed her to be in possession of drugs, including more than 60 grams of crystal meth. Officers also seized various stolen identification and bank cards.

April LESSARD, age 30, of Oshawa is facing 66 charges, including:

Possession of Credit Card x22; Procure to be Made, Possess, Transfer, Sell – Identity Document of Another x27; Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

She was held for a bail hearing.
