Video – Two Drivers Taken Into Custody Following Four-Vehicle Collision in Cobourg

Two drivers were taken into custody at the scene of a four vehicle collision in Cobourg on Monday, July 14, 2025.

At approximately 9 a.m. three vehicles believed to be heading westbound on Elgin Street collided with one vehicle striking a eastbound vehicle.

The collision happened directly in front of the Cobourg Firehall. A pickup truck ended up in the north ditch and one of the vehicles stopped on Elgin Street at Birchwood Trail.

Two drivers were taken into custody at the scene and released approximately 30-minutes later.

Elgin Street in the area of the collision was closed for approximately one hour for the investigation.

It’s unknown if Cobourg Police will be issuing a press release.
