The Northumberland Scottish Festival and Highland Games kicked off in Port Hope on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The 61st annual event kicked off on Friday at the Agricultural Park in Port Hope with the IHGF Canadian Stones of Strength Championship.

Men and woman competed in the 250 pound overhead stone press, the 60 pound stone throw, the Dinnie stone walk 300 pound and 280 pound and the Atlas stones 320 pounds to the shoulder.

Also taking place on Friday evening was the Celidh featuring Madman’s Window.
