Northumberland OPP – Cramahe Resident Charged with Assault

On Wednesday June 18, 2025, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were informed of an assault that occurred on June 16, 2025, at a residence in the village of Colborne.

While speaking with the victim, the investigating officer observed obvious injuries. As a result of the investigation a 23-year-old female from Colborne Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

Assault Cause Bodily Harm – choke, suffocate or strangle.

The accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on a date in July 2025.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
