Cobourg Police Service Training Operation

The Cobourg Police Service, in collaboration with local EMS and the Cobourg Fire Department, will be conducting an Active Attacker Multi-Agency Response training on the evening of June 18th. The training will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Cobourg Collegiate Institute (CCI) and the area near CR Gummow Public School.

During this time, the public may notice an increased police presence and emergency service vehicles in the area. There is no risk to public safety. The Cobourg Police Service conducts ongoing training to ensure that its members and first-response partners are prepared to respond to a variety of incidents.

Active Attacker Multi-Agency Response training is mandated under the Community Safety and Policing Act.

There is no risk to public safety during this exercise.
