Northumberland OPP Appealing to the Public After Distraction Theft

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is conducting a theft investigation and are seeking assistance from the public.

On April 7, 2025, police received a report that a wallet had been stolen and unauthorized transactions had been completed using bank cards.

The complainant advised they last had their wallet at a commercial premises on Elizabeth Street in Brighton on April 5, 2025, at around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators believe that a distraction occurred at the car park of the location.

The OPP are looking to male and a female sought in connection to the incident and are releasing images of the individuals.
