Another beautiful evening at Nawautin Sanctuary in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Spring and sprung and there is much to see as the evening sun sets.

Swans quietly nesting waiting for their young to enter the world.

A short distance away, goslings keep warm under their mothers wings until they peak through mom’s feathers, then get a bit of a nudge to let mom have a stretch.

A heron stands still at the waters edge while a swan slowly passes.

And a beaver swims along the shoreline checking out the area.

It’s a beautiful place where there is always something to see on a peaceful walk around the property.
