Belleville Police – Roommate’s Actions Lead to Criminal Charges

Roommate’s actions lead to criminal charges
On the 30th of April at 4:30pm, a female attended the Belleville Police Service and reported that her male roommate who had moved in less than 24hrs ago had sexually assaulter her.

During their investigation, police learned that while the male was intoxicated, he sexually assaulted the female, refused her access to parts of the residence and exposed himself.

The male also offered to pay for sexual acts from the female which were all refused.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 29-year-old Belleville man with mischief, indecent exposure and sexual assault.

He was held for a bail hearing.
