Cobourg Police – Woman Charged with Theft and x2 Fail to Comply (No Name Released)

A 33-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after a theft investigation.

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, police received a report of shoplifting at a business on Elgin Street West in Cobourg.

An individual concealed merchandise and exited the store, making no attempt to pay. Police identified a suspect using video surveillance footage.

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, police on general patrol observed an individual wanted for the offence.

As a result, a 33-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.00 and two counts of fail to comply with Probation.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
